Discover Oxford Bike Shoppe: Your Hometown Cycling Hub
Located at 18 North Washington Street, Suite B, Oxford, MI 48371, Oxford Bike Shoppe has been serving the local community for nearly three years. Owner Larry Buss prides himself on creating a store that feels like a “kid in a candy store” for cycling enthusiasts, stocking everything from Trek, Santa Cruz, Cannondale, and Aventon bikes to a wide range of accessories, tools, and safety gear.
With Black Friday and Small Business Saturday specials coming up, shoppers can enjoy 25 to 50 percent off almost everything in the store ! Larry emphasizes that the shop is not just about products, it is about service. The store offers fast mechanical service for all bikes, including e-bikes, though electrical work is referred out to trusted partners.
Community involvement is central to Oxford Bike Shoppe. The store hosts bike maintenance and safety classes through the local Parks and Recreation department every Thursday from December through April. The shop also proudly supports its race team, which includes riders aged 26 to 68 that have achieved multiple podium finishes at events like Ice Man in Traverse City. They also host a Sunday casual ride from spring to early fall, and more info can be found on the Polly Ann Pedalers Facebook page, all ages welcome!
The shop is also celebrating local art:
1. As part of the “Art Around Town” program, artwork from elementary student Lillian Skornia is on display in the store. She and her father were admiring her scarecrow drawing while we were in the store.
2. The shop’s own logo was also designed by Oxford High School students.
Larry and his wife, who works at Summit PT next door, love being active members of the tightly knit Oxford community. “We just take a lot of pride in being your hometown shop,” Larry says.
