Jeff Roe
Board President
Jeff Roe is the owner of JDR Wealth Management, LLC, serving families with objective financial planning and guidance. Raised in Oxford, he graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Finance and has worked in the financial services industry since 2006. Jeff lives locally with his wife, Allison, and their two children. He is registered with LPL Financial and is committed to helping clients navigate life’s financial decisions with confidence.
Walt Bargen
Board Vice President
Walt Bargen has spent decades committed to his community, serving in leadership roles across Imlay City and Lapeer County. He held 14 years on the City Council, including 5½ years as Mayor, and served 12 years on the Planning Commission. Walt is a past president of LACADA and the Metamora Chamber of Commerce. With 46 years in banking, he brings both professional expertise and civic dedication to the Oxford Chamber.
Jason Carter
Board Treasurer
Jason Carter is the owner of Carter Quality Hardwood Flooring, Inc., specializing in hardwood installation and restoration. Born and raised in Oxford, he has nearly 20 years of industry experience and founded his company in 2006. Jason serves on the National Wood Flooring Association’s Emerging Leaders Council and continually pursues professional education. As a member of the Oxford Chamber Board, he is proud to give back to the community he grew up in and loves.
Pastor Ben Spaulding
Board Secretary
Pastor Ben Spaulding has served as pastor of Journey Lutheran Church in Oxford since August 2025. At Journey Lutheran, Pastor Ben leads with an emphasis on welcome, discipleship, and community engagement, supporting both the church and its Early Childhood Center. He joined the Oxford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to build strong relationships across the community and is committed to serving Oxford through collaboration and outreach.
Natalie Jurkovich
Chamber Trustee
Natalie is a local business owner at Brick Financial Group. She is a dedicated loan officer passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals. As a mother of two and a wife, she understands the importance of stability, trust, and long–term planning. Natalie’s approach is rooted in education, transparency, and personalized service. She takes pride in building lasting relationships and guiding clients through complex financial decisions with confidence. Above all, Natalie is committed to making a meaningful impact through thoughtful lending and strong community connections.
Mary Pytel
Chamber Trustee
Mary Pytel has been an active part of the Oxford community for over 17 years and brings 30+ years of credit union experience. As Branch Manager at Vibe Credit Union, she prides herself on personal service, and bring expertise in accounting, member services, regulatory compliance, strategic planning and team leadership, with a deep appreciation for the people, businesses, and organizations that make Oxford such a vibrant place to live and work.
Brian Birney
Chamber Trustee
Brian Birney is a United States Marine Corps Veteran, business owner, and community leader with a long record of public service and civic engagement, bringing decades of leadership experience from government, nonprofit, and private-sector roles.
He previously served eight years on the Orion Township Board and played a key role on the Orion Area Chamber of Commerce Board, including a term as President, where he worked to strengthen the local business community and promote economic growth.
Brian also serves on the Orion Veterans Memorial Board, reflecting his continued commitment to honoring veterans. He is the owner of The Birney Directive, Our American Summer, and Deals By Me, businesses that reflect his leadership, strategic vision, and dedication to community-focused initiatives.
