Lakeville Station – A Local Stop for Food, Fun, and Lake Life

Just minutes from Oxford and steps from Lakeville Lake, Lakeville Station has become a popular gathering place for locals looking for good food, drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Owner Amy Phipps says the idea behind owning this restaurant came from living nearby and realizing the area needed a place where families and friends could gather. “We live right around the corner,” Amy said. “There really wasn’t anything close, so we wanted to create a place where you could grab dinner, have a cocktail, get ice cream or just hang out.”

About three years ago, Amy and her husband purchased the restaurant and began gradually remodeling the space. Their goal was to brighten the interior and create a more welcoming environment for guests. “We wanted to lighten everything up and bring some color into the space,” Amy said. “It just feels bigger, brighter, and more fun now.” One of the newest updates is the remodeled bar area, featuring a live-edge countertop made from Monkey Pod wood imported from Costa Rica.

Lakeville Station offers a wide-ranging menu designed to give customers plenty of choices. Guests will find a mix of Mexican favorites, pizza, burgers, steaks and classic bar food, making it easy for groups with different tastes to all find something they enjoy. “We try to offer a little bit of everything,” Amy said. “If someone wants tacos, someone wants pizza and someone wants a steak, you can all come here and find something.”

The restaurant has also expanded its breakfast and brunch offerings. After initially opening early for hunters during deer season, weekend breakfast proved popular enough to continue. Now Lakeville Station opens at 9am on Saturdays and Sundays, serving a menu that includes omelets, breakfast bowls, Belgian waffles and cinnamon French toast. Amy says the homemade biscuits and sausage gravy have quickly become a customer favorite.

The restaurant keeps things lively throughout the week with regular specials and events. Mondays feature half-off pizza, Tuesdays bring Taco Tuesday with $2.50 tacos and Wednesdays host trivia night. Thursdays offer a $6 burger special, while many Fridays and Saturdays feature live entertainment.

Lakeville Station is also closely connected to another well-known local spot. Amy and her husband, Mike, have owned The Oxford Tap for 25 years, while Mike and his business partner, Louie Conley, have operated it for many years.

Located near a busy Lakeville Lake boat launch, the restaurant often sees boaters stopping in for dinner and drinks after a day on the water. Warmer weather also brings guests to the outdoor patio, which offers additional seating during the summer months.

“We just wanted it to be a fun local place where people feel comfortable,” Amy said.

Lakeville Station is open until 11am to 11pm daily, with weekend breakfast beginning at 9am. Guests can stop by Lakeville Station at 600 Lakeville Road in Addison Township to enjoy a meal, live entertainment or a casual night out with friends and family.
