Fundhouse: From Big Lender to Local Oxford Mortgage Firm

Fundhouse is a new name in Oxford, Michigan, but the people behind it bring decades of experience to the table. Founded in November 2025, Fundhouse is a locally based mortgage brokerage co-owned by Jason Jones and Dan Klinck. Both spent more than 10 years each working at Rocket Mortgage before deciding it was time to build something of their own.

“We’re a small business located in Oxford, Michigan,” Jones said. “We’re a mortgage brokerage, primarily focused on residential lending, but we also do commercial lending and land options as well.”

As a brokerage, Fundhouse is not tied to a single lender. That flexibility allows them to shop multiple options for clients and find solutions that fit real-world situations, whether that means a lower rate, faster turnaround, or a more creative approach. “The nice part with having a brokerage is that we can look at several different lenders and find the best options for the client,” Jones explained. “Sometimes we can find an option for a client that another lender just can’t.”

“We pride ourselves in being available 24/7,” Jones states. The business is fully remote, offering support nights, weekends, and even holidays when needed.

Availability and communication are central to how Fundhouse operates. Just as important is keeping everyone involved in a transaction informed. “Nobody wants to feel left in the dark,” Klinck said. “Good communication between the buyer, the agent, and us keeps everybody on the same page. Speed matters, especially in this market.”

Much of Fundhouse’s growth has been organic, built through referrals, repeat clients, and strong relationships with local real estate agents. While their core focus is the Michigan market, the company is preparing to expand into additional states including Florida, Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, a natural fit for clients who relocate, stay at a southern winter residence, or retire out of state.

Beyond purchase loans, Fundhouse handles refinancing, second mortgages, home equity loans and lines of credit, investment and rental properties, and commercial financing. From leveraging home equity to funding major projects, their approach is simple and practical.

“There’s more than one way to get the job done,” Jones said. “Our job is to help people find the way that works best for them.”
