Boulder Pointe Golf Club and Banquet Center: A Fresh Start for a Community Favorite
If you haven’t visited Boulder Pointe Golf Club & Banquet Center lately, you’re in for a surprise. Big changes are underway. Under new ownership as of March 2025, Boulder Pointe is stepping into a new era, investing in upgrades, expanding community offerings, and working hard to reintroduce itself as a welcoming hub for both Oxford and Waterstone residents. Boulder Pointe Golf Club now shares the same owners group as Metamora Golf & Country Club and is making strides to create synergy for membership, social events & the community.
“We want people here. We want people to feel welcome. We want people to use the facility,” says Angie Mortimore, who helps lead Boulder Pointe’s banquet and event operations. “Being part of the community is very important to us.”
The property features a spacious, versatile banquet center that can host 40 to 420 guests, making it one of the area’s premier destinations for weddings, fundraisers, celebrations of life, showers, corporate events, and school banquets. Boulder Pointe is also reviving traditions. This year marks the return of their Christmas Brunch, something many locals will be excited to see back on the calendar.
Below the banquet level sits Gimmies Bar & Grille, a seasonal restaurant and bar that many residents do not know exists. The team plans to refresh the space and add a staircase connecting it directly to the veranda, creating an inviting area for golfers to enjoy a drink or meal while overlooking the beautiful property.
Golf continues to be one of Boulder Pointe’s strongest draws, with three beautifully maintained nines, a loyal membership base, and consistently high demand for tee times. A brand new fleet of golf carts was added this fall as part of ongoing improvements designed to enhance the player experience.
The club remains fully open to the public, while also offering memberships that include exclusive tournaments and social activities like euchre nights, trivia nights, and painting events.
Community partnerships are a major focus. Boulder Pointe supports local schools, hosts the 42 Strong golf outing, welcomes the McLaren charity event, and partners with regional chambers. They also hosted this year’s Oxford Business Expo. “We love being involved and want to help however we can” Angie shares.
